Our story
Zaho means “me”. Up means “to rise”.
ZahoUp comes from the Malagasy “zaho” (me, I) and the English “up”: I lift myself, I level up. The name says what matters: you are the one rising, from your real level.
In early 2023, long before ZahoUp, our team launched Upskills.mg: in-person training sessions to upskill IT talent. Full rooms, hands-on modules, and a real joy in teaching.
Then reality hit: attendance kept dropping, even on paid modules. Not for lack of will, but for lack of direction. Without a concrete goal at the end, even the most motivated give up. We chose to stop and rethink the problem.
That lesson became ZahoUp, built from Madagascar for the whole of Africa. Here, you no longer learn “just in case”: every path starts from a company's real need and ends with verifiable proof. When a real opportunity awaits at the end of the road, you go all the way.
Why now
AI arrived in a matter of months
Every major technology took decades to reach us. AI arrived in months: the same tool is now in everyone's hands, here as everywhere. So the question has changed. It is no longer "how do I learn": anyone can learn.
It is "how do I believe someone who says they can do the work". Real skills, and proof an employer can verify: that is what we are building.
